Today we raised the Transgender flag at City Hall in honor of Transgender Awareness Month. In St. Louis, everyone deserves to thrive, regardless of their gender identity or expression. As a parent myself, it hurts my heart to think that any child, regardless of their gender identity, would feel unsafe being in our city simply because of their identity. Reviews Summary

St. Louis City Hall is a grand architectural landmark, but navigating its services can be a mixed experience. While some departments are efficient, others may involve significant waits and bureaucratic processes. Visitors appreciate the building's historical significance and its role in civic events, with the adjacent City Garden offering a pleasant amenity. InstagramReddit

"This is an overall review of the city itself- it has culture, diversity- as in museums, a zoo, a beautiful park, the famous Arch, a Major League Baseball stadium, breweries, haunted houses, fine hotels, and dining. And, like all large metropolises, it has it fair share of what is not publicized- kept under wraps, so to speak."

"First off, the parking here sucks. You have to find a spot on the street, then pay the meter. Which is a task all in itself. I then went to pay my personal property tax, but was instructed to get a waver since they had no record of me on file. I went to the assessors office were I was instructed to sign in online. After, I did this I waited for approx 30 minutes. The lady that waited on me was very rude and the total opposite of customer service friendly. They needed my title for the car I was attempting to get plates for. Why? I'm not sure. Unfortunately, I had spilt a little something on the back of the title, so it was slightly smudged. The rude lady informed me that this was unacceptable even though I had my bill of sale and registration for a title change paperwork. She instructed me to go back to the dealership and get a notarized affidavit. This whole process was ridiculous to me just to try and pay my personal property tax which has nothing to do with me getting my car legal. Yes, it was my fault I accidentally smudged up my title. And yes the license bureau probably would have told me this to. What erks me is the rudeness of the lady and why she couldn't have given me my paperwork so I wouldn't have had to come back to this nightmare a couple days later? It always seems to me that everytime I have to deal with government employees that they always come across as rude, having a bad day, and taking it out on me. It's pretty obvious they hate their jobs, but how is that my/our fault? So, why do they always have to take their unhappiness out on us? I wonder if it's a criteria that you must be a rude person in general to get hired in these positions? Last, but certainly not least at all is; why do they get to get away with it day after day after day? Do they get bonuses or that-a-boys for treating people unjust? It's not fair period!!
Update; I raised my opinion of this place to two stars. I came back 2 days later after getting the affidavit they required. It was Friday afternoon around 1pm. I waited an hour. The Que that you jump in to be called in order is a joke. The guard outside the door is either taking bribes or letting her friends and family jump the line, because on 3 occasions she let people in the office in front of people that were waiting. Once, I did get in a young lady named Amanda waited on me and was very cordial. This is the only reason I raised the score. The bottom line is; this place sucks! And it depends what clerk you get to wait on you, and what kind of day their having. Amanda, gave me no heartache what so ever, and once I made it to her, I received the paper work I needed to get my car legal. In closing, if you have to come here. Good luck!!"
