What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests consistently praise the Trapp Family Lodge's stunning grounds, Austrian charm, and friendly staff, often highlighting the delicious apple strudel and unique farm tours. However, some visitors note that many activities are now monetized, and dining reservations can be difficult to secure without advance planning. The dog policy also causes confusion for some.
"My family has been coming here since the early 1980s. This was our first time not going in the winter. As always, rooms were very nice, fantastic public spaces/lounges with fireplaces nooks and games. Staff is wonderful. Spa is amazing! What impressed me the most was a true family atmosphere. At dinner each night, there were lots of family’s with teenagers and lots of young children. All well behaved and never a screen/phone at the table. Outdoor activities were wonderful: history tour, Highland Coos/cows, hiking and in the winter, snowshoeing and XC skiing. A truly amazing place for the family."

"I enjoy being honored to be a guest at the lodge however my last visit was not up to par with the room. It wasn't clean as expected even though we were compensated and the issues were fixed afterwards. Which was greatly appreciated. Other than that this place is beautiful for the views and the history for the lodge itself is nice. Always a pleasant stay if you choose to stay here."

"The Trapp Family Lodge and Guest Houses are superb! The views cannot be beat!!! The Lodge was coming into holiday fashion with Christmas tree’s appearing throughout our week… truly lovely and joyful. The ambience and feeling of the entire resort is magnificent!"
