"Look, I’ve never done cross country ski skating before this week but now I’ve been a few times. I’ve gone XC classic and snow shoeing at other centers BUT… this center is fantastic and I’ve never come back in regretting the fact that I’ve gone out.
You pay for the rentals and trail pass on the main floor of the club house (walk in and turn immediately right). The staff will have you fill out a paper with some info, have you pay, and then send you downstairs with the paper and receipt to the rental desk. Once you give them your paper, they’ll set you up with everything you need.
From the rental staff, I’ve found a wide range of “I’m just here to give you the gear” to “what questions do you have so I can make sure you have a great time out today”. So your mileage may vary. What’s consistent is that they want you to get out there with the right fit and the right equipment, which is the most important thing. There are also little lockers and cubbies across from the gear rental desk for you to store your other stuff while you ski.
Overall, I’m really impressed by the accessibility, quality, and conditions at this Nordic center. The daily condition updates and quick answers on the landline are super helpful.

1 hour lesson and gear rental = ~$170 before tip (not expected but the quality of teachers is worth it)
Half day access pass + half day gear = $70"

"Really nice nordic center with excellent groomed trails for both cross country and snowshoeing. You can snowshoe right up to the Hemingway monument, and extend the loop with the Bridges trail. The lodge is beautiful, the rentals staff are very helpful and give excellent advice, there's a nice pro shop and a fancy restaurant. Pricing is very reasonable for snowshoe rental and trail access ($20-30). It's a fun and peaceful winter sport, much more solitude than skiing or snowboarding."
