Best can't-miss things in The Dalles?
My family will be visiting your wonderful town next week. Any can't miss restaurants / takeout we have to try? Are parks and trails all open? Any famous landmarks or parts of town we have to see?

Course devastation - all trees had to be removed after insect infestation
This is Tree Top DGC aka Sorosis (although it might be due for a name change now) in The Dalles, OR. I should of said *most* trees, the pines specifically I believe. The course is still playable and about half of the course remains untouched.
🚶♀️ Explore the Trails
Enjoy a walk around the park perimeter for varied scenery and exercise.
🧺 Picnic Perfect
Plenty of picnic areas make it ideal for a family lunch with a view.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Sorosis Park's stunning volcano views and the fantastic new playground that caters to all ages. The park is praised for its beauty, maintenance, and the variety of activities it offers, from disc golf to peaceful walks. Some mention it can get busy during events.
"Fun for all ages my 2-year old was easily able to play in multiple different areas of the playground. I was very happy to see that on the tall tower they have which is about 20 ft tall there's a section about 10 ft up which is very challenging for small children to get past so they won't make it past that area unless helped by an adult or older child. It seemed like all ages were hanging out here there's anyone from toddlers to high schoolers playing all in a good hearted atmosphere."

"The new playground is fun! It's a beautiful park with big oak trees, a playground, bathrooms, rose garden, and picnic areas."
