Great views and a really fun drive in the right vehicle.
Looking for dispersed/primitive camping near Tony Grove
Does anyone know if there's places for dispersed camping above Tony Grove Lake? I know there's the white pine trail that goes up to connect to Bunchgrass, but I've never biked it. I'm looking for a quick getaway up high this weekend but much prefer dispersed camping to car…

Tony’s Grove Conditions
Hey all! Me and a buddy were planning on going backpacking to white pine lake today but considering how much weather we have gotten recently I was wondering how icy/snowy/wet it is up by Tony’s grove. Has anyone been there within the past couple days?

"Absolutely beautiful place. There are a lot of wildflowers around the beginning of July. We visited the 3rd week of July and those are slowly fading out. I would avoid weekend as the parking space is really small. We arrived at 7AM, Sunday and half of the parking was already filled. Morning is the best time for a hike and breathtaking view with vivid colors."

"Peaceful and quiet. Plenty of parking. Take some water if you walk the trail."
Jeffrey Shimmel
"Beautiful lake with a few different hiking trails. The scenery is gorgeous with cliffs and high peaks. We like the trail to White Pine lake. It wasn't too difficult and out 7yo and 10yo both had fun too."
