Saw lots of pelicans and a pair of swans from the viewing deck, many squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits, and enjoyed all the critter sounds around us.
There a several short hikes and a somewhat longer one heading out on the dike
Also an information center with a variety of brochures and gifts. We mainly filled up water here but there are some exhibits to see also. Definitely worth the stop!"

"Nice get away for birding. Best trail for fall birds, especially cranes, is off parking lot by 35 and the railroad tracks. Take trail then take first right. Out and back around 3 miles."
