Reviews Summary
Riverview Cemetery is recognized for its significant historical importance, housing the graves of many notable figures and early settlers. While visitors appreciate the historical depth and the potential for peaceful reflection, concerns have been raised regarding inconsistent maintenance and upkeep of the grounds.
"Historic Trenton cemetery. You will recognize a ton of names tied to the area and even nationally. Taylor and Case (pork roll/Taylor ham), Chambers, McClellan, Poe’s Door, Roebling…"
Tony Rudy
"This cemetery used to be the most beautiful in Trenton! Now it’s a disgrace! We were just there for Memorial Day and when we go now, I bring my own weed whacker and blower, water and garbage bags. The tree in the photos is still there for like 3 years now! Laying on grave stones and now other plants are growing from it. They don’t care for these graves are so old, nobody in the families are alive anymore! Just soooo upsetting every time we go. I wish they would call and get some tree service to donate their services to help out. I wish my family wasn’t there! And Perpetual Care!!! Paid up and where did that $$ go. So sad. Wanted to go to the newspapers for help."

"Shameful. What was once a pretty and well maintained cemetery has become an embarrassment. July 30, 2023 and the water is not on. See video. Finally, the fallen trees have been removed from the front section. I think they are trying but no one will tell you who to contact regarding upkeep issues. One place to start would be DAR. DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION located in Washington, DC. There are soldiers from the Revolutionary War buried in Riverview as well as other soldiers from other wars. Contacting the City of Trenton is useless. I don’t believe they care nor can they probably even spell the word “cemetery “."
