"love the trails during the day. i understand why the softball fields, dog park, and trails would close by 10 pm, but I think the track and playground could stay open 24 hours and it would give freedom park more of that ‘freedom’ spirit in its name. i enjoy peaceful late night walks, and until tonight i had never been stopped. around 12 am in the past, a city officer patrolling never told me to leave, but tonight another officer stopped me and said the park closes from 7–10. i wasn’t aware of the hours since the gate is always open, so it can be confusing. it might help to post signage with hours in each area. please consider keeping the playground and track open 24 hours, as i would love to continue my late night walks!"
