"We had such a great time at Neptune's Park! If you're thinking about visiting Virginia Beach, definitely make time for this spot; it's way more than just a photo op with the giant King Neptune statue (though yes, it's as impressive in person as you'd expect).
The park is right on the boardwalk, which makes it super easy to get to, and it’s such a nice break from the beach if you want to relax without the sand. There’s live music in the evenings (check the schedule!), and we caught a band while we were there; fun atmosphere, lots of people dancing, families hanging out, and the ocean breeze just made it perfect.
It’s very clean, well-maintained, and safe, with plenty of benches and open space to sit and people-watch or enjoy a snack. There were a few food vendors nearby too. And if you have kids, it’s a great place to let them run around while you chill out.
One thing we appreciated: it feels welcoming to everyone; locals, tourists, families, couples. You can make a whole afternoon out of just strolling, grabbing a bite, enjoying the view, and taking in the vibe.
