Reviews Summary
Calverton National Cemetery is widely praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds and the exceptional professionalism and compassion of its staff, from receptionists to groundskeepers. Visitors consistently highlight the dignified atmosphere and the peaceful environment for remembrance. While the cemetery is vast and can be overwhelming to navigate, the availability of maps and helpful staff mitigates this challenge.
"Staff (from receptionists to the groundskeepers) are all very helpful, professional, and just good people in general. Held a beautiful service for my grandpa the day he was buried and allowed my enlisted cousin to participate in the ceremony in his dress blues. I will never forget the moment that he handed the 13-fold flag to our grandmother and the amount of strength that must have taken, but also the thanks I felt towards everyone involved that allowed him that opportunity. It was a perfect sendoff for the figurative rock of our family.
Our visit to my grandpa's grave one year later was no different. Staff (again, from receptionists all the way to the groundskeepers) were helpful in assisting myself, my aunts and my grandma in any way that they could. I am so happy that someone I've looked up to and respected my entire life has such a peaceful and dignified resting place among his fellow patriots. I have no words to express my gratitude"

"Grief has a way of silencing family legends. So much that I learned at the age of 40 that my uncle was buried a veteran. I am filled with gratitude for Calverton and the honor they’ve had for my uncle Lance Corporal, Jose Perez. My son and I were able to visit him this past weekend.
We love you Tio Joselito and your legacy and service will never be forgotten."

"Iwent on a Sunday morning. The cemetery is huge. Thank goodness they supply a free map of the land. People/ Public were very respectful of others. Plenty of seating for those that need it or want to just sit. I did see people with their pets (they were in the car) I just hope if they took them out of the car, they were emotional pets. All in all, it is a pleasant place to reflect and remember your departed loved one. They honor everyone who is resting there."
