Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Elephant Arch for its unique geological formation and the rewarding hike through a desert landscape. The sandy trail and full sun exposure are noted challenges, but the beauty of the arch and the surrounding scenery make it a worthwhile destination. Families and photographers particularly enjoy the experience.

"Well you can obviously follow the signs. Map showing the front side. And your at the very bottom. It's a very tough climb being very steep, and somewhat disabled. I found a easier section climbing up the back side. It is not exactly marked, and path is almost unrecognizable. But you get around those cliffs to the right. You'll see holes between boulders, you can squeeze right through it or go more to the right. Caution, it's a very loose terrain. Then you will be on top of the elephant when you reach the sand crest."

Andrew Enaje

"Beautiful arch. The hike isn't terrible but there is a lot of soft sand and it is all exposed to direct sunlight. Once you get to the arch there are places to hide from the sun and relax. Getting to the trailhead parking isnt hard but there is a dirt trail that you take just near a new development. The dirt road isn't terrible.. the worst is right when you pull in. If you can clear that, then you'll make it to the trailhead."

Mike Green

"It was cool when we hiked, its easy and there’s not much of an incline except for the last section."
