Visitors find the Cayuga-Seneca Canalway Trail a beautiful and enjoyable place for biking and hiking, offering lovely views of Seneca Lake and parts of the Erie Canal. While many appreciate the abundant wildlife and the chance for berry picking, some note that certain sections could benefit from maintenance, including bridge repairs and clearing fallen trees.
"Really nice bicycle trail. Beautiful place to ride. Lots to see, riding along side part of the Erie Canal. Rode 18 miles (9 each way). Seneca Falls Lake is beautiful!!! Nothing better than the Finger Lakes, wineries and breweries, along the way."

"Wonderful trail, whether hiking, walking, running, or biking. My dog Jack loves his rides on the bike. I saw an Eagle about a month ago, perched up in a tree scouting for food. While riding one afternoon, Jack and I saw at least 10 rabbits cross our path along with squirrels and chipmunks. Berry picking also, look for the berry bushes. Great level path to walk or ride from Waterloo to Geneva State Park on the lake ."

"It was a nice ride. Not much canal view though. Also could use a little TLC. A bridge with a hole in it. We noticed on ride out. On the way back someone stuck a branch in it. Good thinking!! And along the way there was a section that was vibrantly decorated. At the end is a bit one nice riding along Seneca lake."
