"Took a random drive to Cataloochee and found this beautiful chapel along the drive. Beautiful area and quite picturesque with the chapel positioned beside the creek. We visited in February so it is quite gray and bleak this time of year, but still lovely. It would be phenomenal to visit in spring, summer and fall!"

"Simply Serene - A place to step
back in time a century or so ago. A place to bow your head to pray. It is a chapel complete with a Bible and a hymnal on the podium. Sing a verse of Amazing Grace or find a favorite verse to speak aloud. Sit awhile in the old pews and meditate. The front doors open to the mountain creek because that’s closer to the horse trail. I suppose that was the route to the church back then. Don’t forget to look all around the grounds and fields nearby - you may catch sight of an elk or two!!!"
