"Worth a visit to understand more regarding the founding of Yellowstone and of the people that called this area home.
What you learn here is more focused on the culture the lives of people that worked in Yellowstone and tour guide and other areas. Plenty of exhibits featuring artifacts, stagecoach, etc.
There is a cool gift shop. I found out that teachers get in free. Staff members are super friendly and welcoming."

"Was lucky enough to be here the day the 1st ever train came to West Yellowstone, so was no charge. Usually $10 for an adult. Inside only 2 videos were playing, even though 4 are listed. I did see admission is good for 2 days. There wasn't many pieces of history inside as I thought.
The train depot inside and out, as well as the dining room areas are very cool to wander around. I caught a walking tour and was honored too have a lady who worked here when she was 17 years old, stop by and visit with her family. I'm guessing she was around 85-90 of age."
