Despite minor drawbacks, the unique topography and scenic beauty make it a highly recommended destination for golfers.
"Great course that’s in fantastic shape while being reasonably priced. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The changes in elevation are really cool especially for someone from Florida. Beverage cart lady was awesome and the burgers were fantastic. Will definitely be visiting again sometime soon."

"Club house was small and had to wait on carts. Had 3:30 tee time on 9/5/2025. However, course was well worth the trip. This place has awesome elevation and was in pristine condition. It beats Maggie valley by leaps and bounds."

"My boyfriend and I traveled from our cabin in Blue Ridge, GA to come and play Sequoyah National Golf Course. It was our third time staying in Blue Ridge but we decided to play a course we'd never done. I will start by saying that pictures and videos do not do it justice. Just pulling up to the clubhouse and seeing the view was breathtaking. The staff was very friendly, they had a stocked pro shop with souvenirs and also any golf necessities if needed and a grab and go snack area. Range balls were included so we hit for a bit before our tee time. The topography of the course is unlike anything I've ever played before. As I mentioned, the pictures don't show the major elevation drops. There were extremely steep hills to climb, major drops from tee boxes all the way down to the fairways. It was insane! We love watching drone flyovers of courses to see hole layouts so we watched several of this course and vlogs of people playing. However it's crazy how the elevation change was in person. We got some very useful information for certain holes, shots and short game tips. Putting was definitely where I struggled, but enjoyed the challenge nonetheless. The course was in beautiful shape and many holes had the most amazing views of the mountain range. I would absolutely come back in a heartbeat. Honestly my only complaint, which isn't anything related to the course were the gnats. We had no breeze during our round so that was annoying for me, would love to come back up in cooler weather. I encourage anyone reading this, if you want mountain golf to go for it and play!"
