Reviews Summary
Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness is lauded for its stunning natural beauty, unique ecosystem, and challenging yet rewarding hikes. Visitors rave about the towering canyon walls, year-round creek, and abundant wildlife. However, the strict permit system and the necessity of wet footwear are frequently mentioned considerations.
"Great backpacking area. Super beautiful canyon wall with really interesting geology and ecology. Just make sure you bring shoes you don't care about getting wet, you will be walking through a stream multiple times.
You will need a reservation to enter and camp"

"this is the best hiking and camping experience i've ever had. whatever footwear you use is probably going to get destroyed from walking miles in the creek, but whatever. it's a very interesting spot due to a unique intersection of ecosystems. i think there's water here year round. i think camping overnight as many nights as you can makes sense here because there are a lot of cool day hikes you can do that are offshoots of the main creek/canyon area. horse head and booger are super cool."
Fady Charbel
"Beautiful area. Nice hiking with 2 public outhouses, multiple creek crossings easy with hiking boots on."
