Finally made it to one of my bucket list spots in Acadia… When I woke up in Trenton, ME and saw the heavy fog outside of my window, I immediately knew I had to make it to Schoodic Penninsula before the fog lifted. The bright and sunny days are nice, but there’s something so magical when you’re on the coast of Maine surrounded by fog. #landscapephotography #landscapephotographer #acadianationalpark...

Feeling so grateful for a day full of beauty and memories with my family in Acadia National Park. We started our adventure at Sand Beach, then took in the awe of Thunder Hole, Otter Cliff, Schoodic Head, Jordan Pond, and finally the stunning views from Cadillac Mountain. We wrapped it up with a cozy dinner at Side Street Cafe and some relaxed shopping in Bar Harbor. So thankful for this time toget...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning, often foggy, views from Schoodic Head and the peaceful, less crowded atmosphere of the peninsula. While some trails offer a challenging scramble, the rewarding vistas and serene environment make it a worthwhile destination for those seeking a quieter Acadia experience.

"This was a fun, last minute drive just a sunset was happening. It was dark driving up the rocky somewhat bumpy forest canopied road but well worth the trip. It was spectacular and we were the only people up there. You can’t exactly see the sunset, but as the images show, it’s still a great view. Well worth the trip and I recommend a visit."

"We approached Schoodic Head from the parking lot at Blueberry Hill using the Alder Trail, which is like walking a driveway. Once you turn on the Schoodic Head trail it changes to a mostly root filled walkway interspersed with rocks and steps just about all the way to the summit. We returned using the Anvil trail. This was a piece of cake too until about halfway down. It gets steep and rocky. In places you have to scramble down rocks. This is pretty difficult for someone unsure of their footing, like an old person. But we saw some old dudes walking it (up) with no problem. Nice hike with a little challenge."
