Hiking in VT
Hi! I’m visiting in a couple of weeks. I have been diagnosed with a condition similar to MS, so hiking is harder. Any easy trails with great views? I’ll have my dog and partner, too. I know some hiking trails out west don’t allow dogs. Thanks, yall!

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the North Branch Cascades Trail as a hidden gem offering a peaceful escape with beautiful cascades and river access. While the trail is easy and dog-friendly, some note potential trail closures and a rough parking lot. The lack of cell service is often seen as a positive, enhancing the immersive nature experience.
"What a lovely discovery!
Despite a landslide currently blocking part of the trail, this spot is still a peaceful and beautiful walk. Since it's a point-to-point trail, you’ll need to turn around at the closure, making it about a 1-mile round trip instead of 2. Along the way, there are several charming little water features and access points to the Winooski River via stone steps or pathways. I went on a cooler Saturday and it was pleasantly quiet, but I imagine it gets more popular on warmer days. A great little nature escape!"

"A hidden gem a quick drive from Stowe, VT. The trail is a fairly easy walk with many spots to walk down to the cascades. Parking lot is small and covered in pot holes (not good for low cars) and cell service is nonexistent (more reason to just enjoy the nature!) Beautiful cascades, a definite must see!"

"Gorgeous and easy trail with tons of stunning waterfall stops and swimming holes along the way. Beautiful stone work stairs and more! Super easy stroll, plan to bring my kiddo back in the summer for a swimming day!"
