"Ain’t Jack crap out here but a very poorly maintained archeological site. Its covered and gated but its been damaged and you can walk right in. If you are a rock house, its much more interesting of a place. Worth walking around for sure.

It is essentially the Waterloo of Louis Leakey and represents the downfall of his professional reputation as well as the end of his marriage. The spurious claims that evidence of early man were discovered here began in 1959 and were propagated by Leakey as he spent the remainder of his life exploring the site and claiming that here early man appeared prior to the oldest remains previously discovered in Africa."
