"Beautiful cemetery with grounds & views that reassure you this is the perfect place to lay your loved one to rest. Easy to get to via car, Metronorth or Bee Line buses. Make sure to get flowers from any of 2 flower shops nearby (5 min. drive) that are uphill or at Shoprite.
The most special person in my life - my Mother (Elsa Maria Massy de Canario) is buried here. She is walking distance from where my favorite artist of all time (Earl DMX Simmons) is buried, so I know that not only is my Mother with God but that a warrior's spirit (DMX) is guarding this cemetery from vanadalism.
The staff at the office are very professional & helpful as is the Caretaker(s) who maintain this lovely lovely land in the city of Yonkers. The men who do the landscaping are so kind that they've given me a ride down from Highland Meadows at the top of the cemetery when I went on foot."
