"Very unusual layout for an Orthodox church. Check out the rare icons of the less known saints. Serene interior. You can top up your holy water supply there.

Don’t forget to make a donation."

"The Church of St. Alexius Metropolitan of Moscow is the second-largest Orthodox church in the country. Built in 1911, it was closed in the 1920s but reopened to the faithful after 70 years. It isn.t quite that large, but really beautiful"

"I went on Easter Sunday in 2023. The church is beautiful with its orthodox styled architecture. There was no service that day, but the church was open and we could tour inside. There are nice stained glass throughout and the space is filled with peace. As an Orthodox church it feels markedly different from the many, many mosques that we visited in Uzbekistan. Its presence does show that Uzbekistan is a country of diversity, and that it continues to accommodate many kinds of faith. I highly recommend a walk there if you can spare a couple hours. Nearby there is the Chinese Garden and you will also pass by the Amir Temur statue."
