"Crystal clear water and a serene experience...
Visiting Verinag was truly memorable. It was the first time in my life I saw such clean and crystal-clear water. "An amazing place to visit.
The turquoise waters are mesmerising. It is fresh and palatable. It is crystal clear and one can see the fishes deep below the waters. The spring is roughly 50 feet deep and has an octagonal fence around it providing some sort of protection to the visitors. The water is cold and thirst quenching!
The park subsequent to the spring is amazing. It is relatively clean and the flowing water channels add to the beauty of the park. People do take dip in the flowing channels of water but not in the actual spring which would be extremely dangerous. These finally flow down a height to form a waterfall which eventually make the river Jhelum.
Some photographers offer the traditional Kashmiri dresses for the photo shoot.
There is a small fountain at the entrance.
A nearby tourist development centre offers some activities for children like a bouncy castle and a trampoline.
The parking is underdeveloped but ample and the charges are alright.
The park has good collection of flowering plants. The surrounding is serene which is made mesmerising by the mountains!
There are a variety of shops outside the park and the Spring are however no good restaurants around."
