"This tour was included as part of the cruise trip. You can either choose to do kayaking or go in a bamboo boat. I chose the second option, and we had to wait as there were many groups of people and not enough boats.
The boat was handled by an old lady who lives in one of the floating houses. It was super interesting to see, and we actually passed by her house.
There are very few houses left here, as the majority were moved.
Once we reached the village, we got to see their techniques and also how they grow the pearls."

"Visited the Vung Vieng Fishing Village by bamboo boat while on cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay. Very relaxing trip through this unusual floating village. Beautiful scenery around the bay. There is also a stop to hear about oyster farming and see pearls for sale."
Michael Case
"Sea kayaking through this tiny floating fishing village is truly special. The village only have less than 20 floating houses. 2014 was relocated to mainland by government, but they can’t make living in the city some of them move back to the water. There is eve a cute restaurant with food and painting to sale. The entire village was protected by the islands around them. Makes it idea to live. The water is calm even in the typhoon season."
