What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Travelers rave about the Saigon Waterbus for its incredible value, offering stunning city views and a relaxing river cruise for a minimal cost. The sunset and evening rides are particularly highlighted for their magical ambiance and photo opportunities. While the booking process can sometimes be a bit tricky, the overall experience is highly recommended as a unique and affordable way to explore Ho Chi Minh City.
"The 45-minute boat tour was a great surprise. On the rooftop of a boat, with some explanations about the city and a stunning view.
There was even one free drink, and a saxophonist performing—a completely unexpected bonus.
A fantastic way to explore the city.
However, the booking website was a bit tricky to access—it was in Vietnamese, and the English version didn’t seem to work. The ticket purchase process was also quite long, though it’s probably possible to buy them on-site.
Ticket prices varied depending on the seating category (indoor, outdoor, rooftop), ranging from around 100k to 350k, if I remember correctly.
Overall, a great experience."

"With just 30,000 VND (around 1.2 USD) for a return ticket, I’d say it’s totally worth it!
If you're looking to explore Ho Chi Minh City in a different way, I genuinely recommend taking this short boat ride along the Saigon River – the city's main river. It only takes about 20 minutes from Bach Dang Port to Binh An Port, but the views along the way are beautiful. You’ll pass through some of the city’s most modern and charming residential areas.
The boat moves slowly, which gave me time to enjoy the cool breeze and take in the riverside scenery.
Definitely a great little experience for anyone who enjoys discovering new sides of the city."

"If you want to hop on the infamous Saigon Waterbus, make sure to choose the time wisely. The best one will be around 5 PM and the return boat around 6.30 PM. That way, you'll get both the day and night view!"
