What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Ba Na Hills for its magical, fairy-tale atmosphere and the iconic Golden Bridge. The French Village and scenic cable car rides are major highlights, offering a unique escape. However, be prepared for significant crowds, especially on weekends, and potential weather challenges like fog, which can impact views and lead to long queues for the cable car on descent.
"If you’re planning a visit to Ba Na Hills, one tip matters most: get there early. And then get there even earlier. The Golden Bridge is one of the main photo highlights, and if you want those iconic shots with minimal people, you need to be on one of the first cable cars up the mountain.
That said, the weather can be a wild card. If it’s raining in Da Nang, there’s a good chance you’ll be greeted by fog, wind, and possibly even a Gail up at the top (yes, we experienced that!). While it adds some dramatic atmosphere to the bridge, don’t expect those blue-sky postcard views every day.
The entire complex is much larger than expected it’s a full day out. Themed like a European village with castle-style architecture, it’s filled with photo spots, amusement areas, and loads of entertainment. We were surprised at how spacious (and sometimes oddly empty) some of the indoor buildings were.
There’s a wide range of attractions including multiple 2D, 4D, and 5D movie theatres with motion seats and effects, fun for both kids and adults.
The cable car ride itself is scenic and impressive, but be warned: on our way back, we waited over 90 minutes in line just to descend due to poor weather and crowd volume. If you’re visiting during weekends or public holidays, definitely factor in queue time.
Tickets for foreigners start at 950,000 VND (about $38 USD), and you can get a combo with lunch.
Grab from Da Nang beach area cost us around 365,000 VND one-way. Even with the weather challenges, it’s a unique place to visit, part theme park, part fantasy village, part photo-op overload.

"Our trip to Bà Nà Hills was nothing short of magical. We were a group of six and every single one of us had a fantastic time. From the moment we boarded the cable car, we were blown away by the stunning views of the lush green mountains and mist-covered valleys. It felt like we were being transported to another world.
Once we arrived at the top, the experience got even better. The architecture of the French Village was incredibly charming it felt like walking through a European town with cobbled streets, quaint buildings, and lively music in the background. The Golden Bridge was breathtaking, especially with the giant stone hands holding it up. We took so many photos there it’s truly iconic!
We also enjoyed the gardens, the fantasy park with games and rides, and the general atmosphere throughout the entire complex. There was something for everyone, whether it was taking in the scenery, enjoying the rides, or just walking around soaking up the unique vibe.
Despite the crowds, everything felt well-organized and clean. The weather was pleasant the day we went, which made exploring even more enjoyable. We spent almost the whole day there and still felt like we could have stayed longer.
Overall, Bà Nà Hills was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. It was fun, beautiful, and full of surprises. I highly recommend it to families, groups of friends, or couples looking for a magical day out. Don’t miss the cable car ride it sets the tone for an unforgettable experience!"

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Beyond the rides, the French Village offers a whimsical setting for exploration, and the Le Jardin D'Amour Gardens provide a pleasant space for a stroll. While the Golden Bridge is iconic, ensure your children are supervised closely due to the heights. Pack snacks and drinks, as food can be pricey within the park. The Marvel of the Golden Bridge
Beyond its visual appeal, the Golden Bridge represents a significant feat of engineering and architectural innovation. Its construction involved intricate planning to integrate seamlessly with the natural landscape of the Annamite Range. The sheer scale of the stone hands, weathered to appear ancient, adds to the mystique. Visitors often describe the feeling of walking on air, suspended between the sky and the lush green mountains below. It's more than just a bridge; it's an artistic statement and a testament to creative tourism. Consider visiting during different times of the day to see how the light and weather transform its appearance.
While the Golden Bridge is the main draw, remember that it's part of a larger complex. The surrounding areas offer different perspectives and experiences. The bridge itself is a pathway to other attractions within Ba Na Hills, so don't let it be your only focus. Embrace the journey and explore the other unique elements of this mountain resort.
Navigating Ba Na Hills: Cable Cars and Beyond
Once at the top, the complex is quite spread out. Besides the cable cars, there's a mountain train that connects different sections, particularly useful for reaching attractions like the Le Jardin D'Amour gardens and the Linh Ung Pagoda. Walking is essential to explore the French Village and its nooks and crannies. For thrill-seekers, the alpine coaster offers an exhilarating ride through the mountainous terrain, allowing you to control your speed. This is an extra ticket, so budget accordingly.
Navigating the park can feel like exploring a European town. Signs are generally clear, but having a map or using the Sun Paradise app can be helpful. The park is designed with distinct zones, from the fantasy-themed Fantasy Park to the more serene gardens and temples. Be prepared for a lot of walking and consider the mountain train for longer distances between attractions.
Themed Zones and Entertainment
For families and those seeking thrills, the Fantasy Park is a major draw. This indoor amusement area features a variety of games, arcade machines, and attractions like 2D, 4D, and 5D cinemas with motion seats. It's a great place to escape the weather or keep younger visitors entertained. Other areas include the beautiful Le Jardin D'Amour Gardens, a collection of nine distinct gardens, and the Linh Ung Pagoda with its impressive Buddha statue, offering a more tranquil experience. The variety ensures there's something for every type of visitor.
Beyond the static attractions, Ba Na Hills often features live entertainment, from street performers in the French Village to musical acts. This adds to the vibrant atmosphere and makes the park feel dynamic. While some visitors find the park a bit 'random' or 'weird' due to its eclectic mix of themes, this very uniqueness is what makes it a memorable destination. Embrace the unexpected and enjoy the diverse entertainment offerings.
