Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Porto Palermo Submarine Tunnel a unique and interesting historical site, often praising the clear waters of the adjacent beach. However, the long, sun-exposed walk down a gravel path can be challenging, and some report unexpected access fees.
"Cool spot and very clear water. There's a little beach nearby to swim, too. Walk down wasn't too bad but is fully sun exposed, no shade. Some guy charged us 10 euro for 3 people to access (don't know if that was just for the beach or the bunker too), but that was a discount from his initial proposal of 5 euro each. Lol"

"....very interesting place worth to visit really! It takes 25-30 minutes to go there from parking place near to the main road. There is beautiful beach a cool bar there..."

"I think the other comments refer to the naval base closeby which is restricted to the public. Not the submarine bunker, we had no trouble getting there. You have to pass the gate on the gravel path first and go all the way down on that path by foot. It's pretty impressive.
On the way we passed by and had a refreshing dive in a small yet somehow still natural beach without the umbrellas and chairs (Albania please preserve your coastline, it's one of your biggest assets and your are making it look like a shopping center)"
