A fun day making memories up at Eungella. Dale and the big kids did the walk from the Sky Window lookout down to Broken River. Unfortunately half of the track was closed as it was overgrown. Little Miss and I enjoyed our short drive down to the river to watch the platypi while we waited for the others. We then headed to the Diggings for a cool off in the creek, followed by some four-wheel drivi...

The Strangler fig tree arch is very cool and definitely worth the walk- Cedar Grove Track is just to the left of the Sky Window Lookout. We love Eungella National Park it’s a pretty special area only 60 km away from us and 690m above sea level. It gets cool up here in winter especially if you go early to spot platypus. This is one of my fave walks. #eungellla #stranglerfig #greatoutdoors #thi...

"The Sky Window Lookout Picnic Area in Eungella National Park is an absolute gem! The views over the Pioneer Valley are nothing short of breathtaking. Even the drive up is incredible to see.
Definitely one of the best scenic stops in the area. It’s a peaceful and well-maintained spot, great for a relaxing break during your travels. If you’re quiet (which can be tricky if you’ve got kids along!), you’re likely to spot a range of native animals nearby, which adds to the magic of the experience. There’s ample parking, clean facilities, informative signage, and picnic tables to enjoy lunch with a view. We were staying in nearby Mackay and was told to check it out and I'm glad we did. A must-visit if you're passing through!"
