However, the unpredictable and often freezing weather can limit visibility and comfort, with some visitors experiencing cloudy conditions that obscure the much-anticipated scenery.
"It was awesome. Freezing, windy and we saw Jack shit because of the clouds. But did we care nope! Great experience freezing our asses off. I'd do it all over again. Great walk down by the cafe area. And a view."
Celine Dobson
"Really enjoyed our time on Mt Wellington. I had never seen snow until this visit, and I got to see it, touch it, form a small snow ball (and "throw" it (not very hard though)), I even got to watch the summit from my bed in the Big4 Hobart, thanks to the webcam(s) up there... I have a LOT of screen shots LOL."
Jenny Fraser
"Beautiful dark & mysterious verdant forest walk on the misty mountain to a truly stunning lookout ... just ~20 minutes easy trail walk from The Springs car park and the wonderful Lost Cargo Cafe.
A short drive away down the mountain there's also a short ~10 minute trail walk to The Octopus Tree which is a very one of a kind arboreal growth ... well worth the stop !"
