Archie was everything you hope for in a host: warm, attentive, and genuinely personable without ever feeling intrusive. He struck that perfect balance of being chatty and engaging while still giving our group space to enjoy the occasion. His knowledge of the menu and wines was impressive, and he shared it with such an easy confidence that even those of us less familiar with wine felt completely at ease.
On top of that, he was funny—naturally and effortlessly—which added such a lovely sense of lightness to the afternoon. You could tell he enjoyed what he does, and that joy rubbed off on all of us. It felt like he was really happy to be part of our celebration, and that made the experience feel even more special.
