"Welcome to Arad Fort! One of Bahrain’s most historic landmarks, this 15th-century fortress was built to defend the island from invaders. Strategically located near the sea, it provided an excellent vantage point to monitor enemy movements. Its thick walls, watchtowers, and traditional Bahraini architecture showcase the brilliance of ancient military design. Today, Arad Fort is a must-visit site, offering a glimpse into Bahrain’s rich history and stunning sunset views. Have you been here before? Let us know in the comments!”"

"One of few forts in Bahrain worth visiting. The fort is quite small, yet has good views to the sea. There are some old stores and boats on-site, too.

Maintain care when you walk inside the fort as the land is sandy at times and rocky at others.

Tickets are bought at the entrance by cash or card, and are priced at 1 BHD. They have ample parking outside.

Expect to spend no more than 30 minutes.

The fort is very close to a shopping mall and a park."
