“Hawksbill hatchlings” What an awe inspiring experience to witness dozens of these hatchlings on Harrismith beach last Sunday evening. FYI - the one that appeared dead in the video was exhausted after being caught in a tree root but thankfully still alive. I got him to the sea. I’m grateful to the @barbadosseaturtle project for speaking with me when I called. #seaturtles #seaturtles🐢 #hawksbill #h...

Reviews Summary

Harrismith Beach is lauded as a beautiful, secluded 'hidden pearl' with stunning cliff views and intriguing ruins. Visitors appreciate its tranquil atmosphere and natural beauty, making it an ideal picnic or relaxation spot. However, the strong currents make swimming inadvisable for most, and the lack of facilities means visitors must be self-sufficient.

"A hidden pearl, 10 minutes walk from the bottom bay. Entrance is hidden in the bushes, just follow the stairs down. Beautiful place, still possible to feel like an outcast since not so many people visiting it. Cool place to stay for some hours and enjoy nature. The water is clean but the currents are very strong, and water can suddenly cover the whole sand stripe."

Karol Total vvs

"Awesome views from top of cliff. Ideal picnic spot. Interesting ruins for those who want to take a look at history. Soft white sandy beach at the bottom of a long flight of steps conveniently carved down the cliff face.

The calming waters of the sea are okay for strong swimmers, but caution should be exercised by others. The area is affected by the annual influx of Sargassum seaweed, and this can be a slight turnoff although not harmful."

Anthony B

"Awesome scenery! Great chill spot
The beach is not for swimming as it can get pretty rough."
