Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the magical experience of seeing green monkeys, often describing them as playful and entertaining, especially during feeding times. The unique landscape of the collapsed cave and the lush tropical flora are also highly praised, offering a peaceful and educational escape. Some reviews mention the need for better upkeep, and the unpredictability of monkey sightings can be a slight disappointment for some.

"Any opportunity to see a monkey, is an opportunity I will take! Luckily we were blessed with a fantastic series of monkey interactions here in Welchman Hall Gully!

Our first experience was about 10 minutes in as the monkeys were walking down from the back of the gully towards the entrance. This was around 12:00 PM. We just sat enjoying the monkeys as they passed by. Afterwards we proceeded to walk through the entire park area. The environment is unique and interesting. We found an area where the cave roof had collapsed which we enjoyed to see.

On the way back we got to the visitors center and the women at the front told us to come to the back because she was gonna feed the monkeys. That was the best part of the experience. It was so amazing seeing the monkeys tear through bananas! That was around 1:00PM.

We were some of the only people there for about an hour and a half. Often times it was just us with the monkeys."

Kevin Barker

"This place is absolutely stunning. You can visit it by yourself but if you want to understand what you're looking at, I strongly recommend you join the free guide at 10:30 (might change in the future so check with them what time it is). You can get some drinks and snacks from the ticket office. If you're lucky, you'll even get to see some monkeys. It's a splendid place and would strongly recommend spending some time here while in Barbados."

"This was a wonderful family activity. Welchman Hall Gully is a beautiful, peaceful sanctuary. We saw the monkeys and fed the chickens and enjoyed the opportunity to see the evidence of the cave structures and the gorgeous plants. There is a lovely paved walkway and plenty of places to sit and rest along the path."
