The drive to the location is great, you get to see more of the inside of the country, roads are bumpy but also part of the experience. Once you are at the river, be prepared to get onto the biggest platform of a pontoon!
Nadir spent time telling us about what we were going o see, the history of the waterway (its recent changes with the dam) and the animals we might encounter.
Our first fall that we go to is a short hike into the jungle and pays off immediately. A huge waterfall that we could swim in! This was great, water is cool and refreshing.
We returned to the boat and take a leisurely tour down the river while Nadir prepares lunch and make our way to the next fall which is the one to spend the day at if I’m honest!! Clear water, you can climb all over it! You can pull right up to it with the boat (which we did).
The last waterfall is awesome and powerful! We pulled up to it and just got splashed from the spray alone.
Lunch: 10/10! Grilled right up on the boat and served waterfall side :)"

"Steven picked us up at Black Rock Lodge and it was nothing but fun for the rest of the day. The pontoon was bigger than we expected and was super clean. Steven & Selven were great guides and were very entertaining. It’s adventurous calm float trip with adventure mixed in, something for everyone! Between hiking falls to cliff jumping, everyone had a blast. They kept us all safe on every adventure and we saw so many beautiful falls. We had a wonderful lunch with homemade tortillas while floating down the river. I can never say I haven’t swam under a waterfall before! This tour is a MUST DO and we will definitely do it again."

"Had an amazing time with Robert and his crew. Giovanni picked us up from our lodge and they drove us through very bumpy roads with stories to keep us occupied. The boat is super clean and the crew is the most cheerful and helpful crew we have ever met. Giovanni was super funny and kept our 2 kids engaged joking around. He took amazing pictures and videos for us to boot. They literally parked us next to a waterfall for a good 15 minutes. The crew helped people who needed assistance to make sure every one had a fun time.
Lunch was a spread and they asked us multiple times if we had any food restrictions. They kept the water and sodas flowing. The bbq chicken, sausage and the special fish they grilled were spectacular, even our picky 9 year old loved it."
