Port Coquitlam Recs
Hi, we are on vacation for a week, visiting from the UK and staying in PC for the first few days. Can anyone recommend a good beginner’s trail? Needs to be family friendly. Willing to drive up to an hour away for something really picturesque. Is bear spray essential? Thanks!

Low effort viewpoints
Hey sub! We have some guests visiting soon and I’d like to take them up to some great viewpoints/lookouts (preferably with some great shots of Mt Baker). Trouble is they’re not the most active so hiking is essentially out of the question. A gentle walk could be do-able. Anyone…
Minnekhada this morning
These are beautiful photos! I moved to Coquitlam last year and haven’t yet visited Minnekhada; how can I visit these spots? Is there a main trail to follow?

Help identifying this bird in Port Coquitlam, BC
Saw this 2 days ago in Port Coquitlam, BC (if you're familiar with the area, this was at High Knoll lookout at Minnekhada Park). It was flying in circles, like the video above and it was MASSIVE, similar to a bald eagle but it was clearly not a bald eagle.
