What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Nakusp Hot Springs as a 'hidden gem' offering a tranquil, natural escape with beautiful mountain views and well-maintained pools. The surrounding hiking trails and the option for rustic camping or cozy chalets add to its appeal. Some note the older accommodations could be better soundproofed and wish for a cold pool option.
"We had an amazing mini-vacation as a couple. Booked 4 nights in Chalet 2A (back part). Small, but manageable for 2 people. The tiny kitchenette organized very well and has all necessities. The bed is very comfortable and bedding is snowy white and fresh and natural smell. The only complain is - it's not sound proof, but - it's old (built in 1950's or 60's). Very clean and well maintained pool - included in the price! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff - Thank you to be so attentive (Casey, Michelle and Gentleman who cleans the chalet). Fantastic hikes (we did Kimbol Lake on the last day - challenging and tiring, but very satisfying at the end with an ancient log cabin and the Lake itself at the end). Wine tasting in Valley of the Springs Winery was the last treat before we left the area - highly recommended! Overall it was one of the best vacation we ever had - it's a real Hidden Gem! Will be back for sure!!"

"Lovely hot springs in the mountains, great views all around when you are in the hot springs. I did find myself wishing there was a cold pool to cool off between dips in the springs, especially as the day was warming up. Loved the walk to the historic source, which has recently been board-walked in several spots. Stunning mossy forest!"

"Spent a couple nights in the RV camp area...I was in site 21 which worked really well for me as it's located away from most of the other sites and my 16' Airstream Bambi tucked into the spot quite nicely. Arrived on Day 1 about 2pm, dropped off my trailer and headed to Halfway Hot Springs which was an awesome adventure to a public remote riverside hot spring. Came back to Nakusp Hot Springs in time for dinner and then got the evening pass which was also good for all day soaking the next day. Everything was fantastic...the icing on the cake was the hiking trail adjacent to the parking lot. The trail has recently been improved with some fantastic wooden walkways. I made it to the old hot springs area...just a beautiful hike."
