Help! Should I rent a car?

Hi all, Im visiting PR for work and found out I'm off this weekend. I have a few hours to decide whether I rent a car to explore or see the town on foot. I've already seen downtown and the bay. Are there any cool day trips I could make, or even overnight trips? As long as…

What is the smallest city or town in Canada with an escalator?

This is a trivia question that has been on my mind for too long. Does your small-town mall have an escalator? Or maybe you live near an office building that is disproportionately big for the population size? Bonus points for escalator pics.

Reviews Summary

Prince Rupert City Hall is praised for its beautiful historic architecture and the significant cultural display of First Nation totem poles. Visitors also appreciate the statue of founder Charles Melville Hays and the pleasant surrounding park. It's considered a gem in the city, especially for its historical context and visual appeal.

"Beautiful historic city hall right in downtown, the park next door is worth checking out as well. A gem in the city."

Michael Gray

"On our visit to Prince Rupert, in north western Canada, we would walk past the City Hall every day and admire the imposing building with a number of First Nation totem poles in the garden lawn. There was also a statue in the garden which is of the founder of this city, Charles Melville Hays, president of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. Hays had visualized this island as the perfect terminus for marine trade, and for rail and sea travel. Hays met with an untimely and tragic death in 1912, aboard the RMS Titanic."

Vijay Shivdasani

"Nice and colourful. Gardens always wonderful."
