What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gorge Waterway Park is praised for its family-friendly playgrounds and scenic waterfront paths, with ample free parking being a significant plus. While some note the playground's age, the abundance of donated toys adds a unique charm. It's a well-loved spot for casual walks and children's play.
"This is a great playground for kids. There is free parking, shared with the Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club. Two playstructures, a smaller one for younger kids with a smaller slide, pirate ship, 2 baby swings and two regular swings. The second structure is geared to kids 5-10 with a longer slide, and is taller. Both separate structures feature a sandy ground, so you can bring a shovel and bucket.
My husband and I refer to this playground as the "toy graveyard" as dozens of toys have been left here to be recycled and enjoyed by other kids, including a play kitchen, and even some ride on toys.
There is a porta-potti here and lots of benches for the parents that want to sit back and watch instead of digging in the sand."
