#Nanjing is a beautiful, friendly, futuristic city, but no one here will ever forget its past. I definitely recommend visiting the Nanjing Memorial Museum while you're here. And after that, you can celebrate China's resilience by enjoying the beautiful parks, delicious restaurants, and over the top shopping malls here. I was so inspired to see how far they've come. And the people here were so fun ...

I've been there. It's so quiet, and sobering. No one wants to speak. Evidently, they relocated survivors to a series of apartments nearby. They subsist on tourism now.

"It is important to remember and inform people of the consequences of an unaware and conscientious management and planning in areas at seismic risk and densely populated. The nearby site of the old town of Beichuan is an example and an even more direct and effective testimony."
