What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise OCT Wetland Park for its serene natural beauty and educational value, especially the informative trolley tours. While some minor inaccuracies in educational content have been noted, the overall experience is highly positive, offering a peaceful escape and excellent birdwatching opportunities. Weekend visits require advance booking.
"Great nightlife, with comfortable walking. Lots of bars, restaurants, and dessert shops. Also next to a plaza with a fountain that is fun for children to play in. Night time is best for the ambience."

"Although it is small, it is the best (domestic) wetland park I have ever visited - at least there are no "entertainment facilities" here, so those who want "entertainment" will not come here. And I was very happy to see the Long-tailed Leaf-Tailed Warbler feeding its huge adopted child, the Eight-note Cuckoo, as if nothing had happened! ...Unfortunately, there are some errors in the popular science content in the park, for example: it is clearly written as "myna", but the picture shows a European starling; it is clearly a black-tailed whistling duck, but the pinyin is "heiweishazhui (black-tailed sandpiper)". I have reported the problem to the volunteers in the park, and will pay attention to whether it has been corrected next time I go there."

"There is no entrance fee, but you need to enter the park. Weekend appointments are very difficult to get.
Giving four stars is relative, as there is still a big gap between it and the Hong Kong Wetland Park which is separated by a body of water."
