"It's a 1km walk (15 min) from exit H of the Chaoyangmen metro station on lines 2 or 6. This includes a 15 minute music performance that runs at 10:00 and 15:00. The music has a long history as it is unique to this temple. It's a Buddhist temple, but does not function as such. No worshipers, no incense and no monks. There are English signs to accompany all the displays. A large video display runs a documentary about the temple; it's very informative. There remains the only example of Qing wood carving here.
