Visitors consistently praise Yorkín Indigenous Village for its authentic cultural immersion and the warm hospitality of the Bribri families. The scenic boat ride and hands-on chocolate-making are frequently highlighted as memorable experiences. While accommodation is basic, it enhances the jungle experience.
"This was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. The boat ride up the Yorkin River in itself was an epic adventure! The family we visited with were lovely and provided a superb lunch for us. It was fascinating to learn about, see and try our hand at the chocolate-making process. And to eat some afterwards of course. And learning about the local plant uses was very interesting too. It was all very low-key and informal and relaxed which we really appreciated. A superb experience all around."

"What a pleasure to stay with this family! Very nice trip. The owner/guide tells a lot about the plants, flowers and fruits. Great swim spot. Lunch/diner is great too.
Sleeping spot is comfortabel but not too. You are in the jungle, remember... Own shower/bathroom."

I felt like part of the family, and learning about Bribri culture was a wonderful, life changing experience. I would recommend this for anyone who feels like visiting a truly special community, in a beautiful environment."
