What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik for its stunning terrace views of the Old Town and Adriatic Sea, and the unique blend of Gothic architecture with Croatian modern art. While some found the gallery size smaller than expected, the overall experience is enhanced by the beautiful setting and the opportunity to see local artistic talent. The staff experience can be mixed, but the visual appeal and historical ambiance are consistently praised.
"I visited this as part of the Dubrovnik pass so it's worth doing as part of a combined ticket. However I was slightly disappointed by the size of the gallery spread across three small floors. I've been to many MOMADs around the world so I guess I was expecting a bigger display. The other thing was the rather poor experience with the poe-faced unengaging staff member who I saw at 9.00am. How different to the friendly lady who greeted me at the Archeological museum. Please, a smile goes a long way and costs nothing, it's important when you are in a front line role engaging with the public.
Do visit the outside terraces which provide good views of the old town. On the ground floor, the shop sells things like "art prints" €15, mugs, art books etc."

"I had the chance to photograph a wedding at the Museum of Modern Art in Dubrovnik, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The combination of elegant architecture, stunning sea views, and artistic ambiance makes it a truly unique venue. It’s perfect for couples looking for something stylish and timeless. Always happy to return to this incredible location."

"Small but intriguing museum, in addition to the art currently on display there is a lot of "history of the museum itself" displays here. Don't forget to check out the sculpture garden upstairs as well."
