The Staircase Challenge

Prepare for a steep, stepped trail down to Pasjača Beach. Good footwear is essential, and it's not recommended for those with mobility issues or very young children. The climb back up can be strenuous, especially in the heat.

Embrace the Seclusion

Pasjača Beach is a natural gem with no facilities. Bring all your essentials: water, snacks, and sun protection. The remote nature means you'll need to be self-sufficient, but the stunning views are worth it.

Pasjača beach just south of Dubrovnik is the most beautiful beach we found in our three weeks traveling up and down the Dalmacian coast. Pristine clear water, and not too crowded (yet). Paradise. Visited Aug, 2019.

Happy to offer any local recs for lodging nearby. Or other spots in Dalmacia too. Loved our time on that magical coast.

Beaches recommandations in early July

Hey, all! I’m going with my girlfriend between 5 and 9 of July in Split and Dubrovnik. We’re late 20’s. I’m staying in Split between 5 and 8 July and in Dubrovnik between 8 and 10. We’re renting a car, and both our stays have parking included, so we’re good there. However, not…

Reviews Summary

Pasjača Beach is lauded for its breathtaking scenery and crystal-clear waters, offering a unique swimming experience below dramatic cliffs. However, visitors consistently note the challenging, steep staircase access, which makes it unsuitable for some and requires good physical condition and proper footwear. The beach is also small and can get crowded, with limited facilities.

"Pasjaca Beach near Dubrovnik is a stunning, small beach below steep cliffs. It features a unique mix of soft sand and pebbles, with crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach is accessed by a steep staircase, offering rewarding views but requiring good footwear and some effort. Pasjaca is remote and peaceful, without facilities, making it ideal for nature lovers."

"Truly THE most remarkable scenery and place to swim close to Dubrovnik.

By the shore, there’s really not that much space to sunbath though.

We went there in the afternoon and got easily a parking spot, but still down by the beach. It was very difficult to find a spot to lay down our stuff for swimming.

Down by the water, there isn’t any kind of service available, but up by the parking there’s a small kiosk and a possibility to get a shower for 1€/1min.

Remember to bring a lot of water with you, because you will need it when climbing back up 😅"

Kimmo Kivirauma

"This is a really lovely unusual and small beach with probably the best views and swimming in Dalmatia. But IMO essential to go early - on a nice day it's rammed after about 10.30. Also note zero shade after about 11am."
