"Interesting to understand the history of Curaçao in the slavery context. It is a small museum that you pay 15$ for per person however that includes a personal guide that will take you through and give you more details.
I recommend going here if you want to learn more about the history."

"Being of Caribbean descent, I love hearing about resistance fighters throughout the Americas who fought back against the atrocities perpetrated by the abominable and perfidious colonizers during the times of the transatlantic slave trade. When I read about Tula, I knew I had to visit this museum, and it did not disappoint.
Mavis was my guide, and she was extremely knowledgeable about different periods of African history, going back to the times of the Bible all the way to more contemporary history. I learned a lot about the history of the island, its brave and industrious people, and its beautiful Creole language they were able to preserve and perpetuate.
I highly recommend visiting this museum. It is extremely close from Grote Knip, and hence is a perfect first leg to a culture+beach combination. Mavis also gave me some recommendations regarding nearby restaurants who offer a selection of local dishes."
