"Very picturesque. The church is divine but check for sitting monks. I never spotted one in the gloom and when I turned the lights on, I don't think he was very happy at all. One or two cats walking around which are very friendly if not a bit vocal. The citrus fruit growing on the trees have to be seen to be believed. Lots to explore with a museum and souvenir shop as well. Very serene. Loved it, apart from Rasputin babbling on to me in a language that was Greek to me!!!!🤣🤣"

"From our hotel we walked a mile to the bus station and caught the 618 to Paphos old town bus station then the 604 for a 25 minute bus ride up the mountain north of Paphos. On arrival we walked around the grounds and went into the museum, then into the monastery, walking towards the high cliffs we discovered the original 1159 rock hewn cell of Neafytos with amazing ceiling frescos. The pictures taken inside the cell and the monastery are from an official source as cameras are banned, however all other pictures are my own. The cost for entry to the cell and the museum was €2.50 each area per person, this amounts to amazing value to see some of the most stunning items I have ever seen"
