Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the beauty of Panagia Chryseleousa Church, both inside and out, highlighting its well-preserved frescoes and 12th-century Byzantine architecture. The tranquil village setting and the option to arrange interior visits are appreciated, though the church can sometimes be locked.

"It’s beautiful outside and inside with old frescos, some of them well preserved."

Tomek Pik

"So beautiful church."

Giorgos Georgiou

"Visited Emba August 2018. There are two churches next to each other, one old and one new. The old church Panagia Chryseleou was locked up for security reasons but there eas a sign in Greek with a mobile number to call if you would like to arrange to go in. The new one Apostolos Andreas (St Andrew) is right next door. Across the road is a small kisok where you can buy an icecream or large cold frappe then sit in the shade to watch the world go by. Even the traffic passed by unusually and pleasantly slowly for Cyprus!"
