We really fit a lot into our last day, from Dunkirk to the Blockhaus. The exhibition on Operation Dynamo was great, and then we visited the Blockhaus d’Éperlecques. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before, except for La Coupole. I was really looking forward to seeing it because my favorite bomb (said no one ever) was designed for this purpose. Barnes Wallis, a true genius, designed the “earthquake...

While parking can be a minor issue, the overall visit is highly recommended for its educational value and unique historical perspective.

"I didn’t know what to expect when visiting this museum — I went in completely blind, having done no prior research and only using ChatGPT to help plan my holiday itinerary.

While the entrance itself is fairly unassuming, I was genuinely in awe when the huge concrete megastructure suddenly came into view from behind the trees. It was completely unexpected and an impressive sight to behold.

The additional exhibits, along with the clear and informative supplementary information, made the visit both engaging and enjoyable. It not only held my attention throughout but also deepened my knowledge in a subject area I find especially fascinating."

"It felt terrifying, cold inside the tunnels, built for one purpose and one purpose alone. The exhibition was very informative and kept children occupied along the way. Staff were vertical helpful when we arrived, car park could have been bigger but that can't be helped.
Arrive in the morning to get a space near the front if travelling with children."

Kath Wilson

"Stumbled onto this site by accident as we were at a different historical place and saw it's name. Definitely worth a trip! I liked how different is was in the way of taking a trail with info boards and pieces of equipment along the route, also having a few audio stops along the way. The actual structure and history behind it was cool to see, along with the life-sized V1 and V2."
