A hidden, free museum near the Tower. It is always one of my top recommendations when people ask me what they should see when visiting London that is slightly out of the ordinary. #london #londontravel #londonhistory

What are some sights/museums/bars/clubs/ etc that every cultured Stadtzürcher should see?

I'm a student who's been living in Zurich for a year, but I haven't really explored much of what the city has to offer in terms of culture. What are your recommendations?

Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Dolder Tower Museum to be a small but interesting historical gem, particularly for its preserved 500-year-old house and the panoramic city views from the top. The affordable entry fee and the option for a combined ticket with the Tower of Thieves are frequently praised. However, some note the steep and narrow stairs can be a challenge.

"Small but interesting museum where you can have a good view over the street. Note that the stairs are quite steep."

Bart Van Dooren

"Small,... only 3€, but interesting because you enter a 500 years old house, not only for the rather small (but interesting) exposition, but even more to see how solid these wooden constructions were, how relatively comfortable the inhabitants must have lived,... and dont forget to look outside the top windows over the city,... and all the way to the Black Forest in Germany. Buy a 7€ combination ticket to visit the (much larger expo in the) Tower of Thieves, one minute from this building. My apreciation for the friendly guide."

Carl Nys

"Really nice here. Shops, art, culture. All in one place. Worth visiting."
