Reviews Summary

Visitors often highlight the impressive Brückentor and the unique Jugendstil architecture as the town's main draws. The scenic location on the Moselle River and the pleasant promenade walks are also frequently praised. However, some find the town less engaging compared to other Moselle destinations, with the castle ruin being a particular point of mild disappointment.

"Of all the places we stopped at between Koblenz and Trier, this town was the least interesting. We went to the castle ruin; was just a wall really. Even the view wasn't the best. The one standout was this impressive gate over the bridge. That will be my only memory of Traben-Trarbach."

Chris Cracknall

"It was great idea to make a stop, walk through the bridge with cup of coffee. Very beautiful place."

Kateryna Kravchenko

"One of the most beautiful locations on the river Moselle. If you have not been here, then you are truly missing something. You can get to Traben-Trarbach with a public transport. There is a train that runs from Bullay station until Traben Trarbach. The train journey itself is very scenic and illuminating. It is just a precursor of what it is come. Traben Trarbach is a very small town with beautiful old buildings. The key highlight is this gate which is built over bridge of Moselle and on the other bank you would see the Grevensburg castle ruins. This two are the highlights of the town. The people are really good and very helpful."
