"Nice day or afternoon trip from Chania or Rethymnon. Outstandingly beautiful lagoon, with clear turquoise waters and hints of pink beaches surrounding it. Accessible by car & hike or pleasant 1 hr boat from Kissamos. Missed the aerial views the hike down would have affirmes us, but still glad we went. Still able to swim in early October. Some sand, some level rock on Outer beach.
Busy on an October weekday, I would get to Kissamos and beach early if travelling in peak season."

"Beautiful lagoon that seems simply out of this world. Clean water, shallow water and goats that you can pet. You need to walk down the cliff to get there and it's a forty minute drive from Chania. Tickets are bought as you arrive and cost 1β¬ per person."

"Lovely lagoon, we went by yacht from Kissamos (about 90 minutes).
Pleasant shallow clear blue water, soft sands and not crowded. Coffee and ice cream shop with toilet facilities.
Apparently there is a land route as well but this involves a long walk down the path from the road and parking. Definitely worth the effort, such a beautiful place."
